Cairngorm Ski Centre in Scotland searching for new owners
Scotland’s busiest ski centre looks set to change hands, with current owners Highlands and Islands Enterprise testing the market to gauge interest in the resort.
Situated near Aviemore in Northern Scotland, Cairngorm Ski Centre is an excellent facility that has recently enjoyed its two most successful winter seasons, with British skiers and snowboarders taking advantage of the slopes that are somewhat closer to home than the Alps or popular European resorts such as Bansko and Zakopane.
Cairngorm Mountain, which is home to Scotland’s only funicular railway and the UK’s highest restaurant features facilities that can attract tourism all year around, meaning HIE Chief Executive Alex Paterson is confident the resort will attract a buyer in the near future.
There are many fine places to stay in Scotland to enjoy the country’s rural charm. The popular Diamond Resorts location The Kenmore Club is located within comfortable visiting distance of Cairngorm, meaning DRI Points are a must buy for those who enjoy visiting the Scottish countryside.
